About Us

At Yokai Ramen, we bring the soul of authentic Japanese ramen to the heart of San Antonio. Our mission is to craft the perfect bowl, blending traditional culinary techniques with a modern, creative spirit. Inspired by the legends of Japanese folklore, our restaurant offers more than just a meal—it is an immersive dining experience where bold flavors meet a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. From our slow-simmered, rich broths to our hand-selected ingredients, every detail is prepared with passion to ensure an unforgettable experience in every slurp. Come join us and discover your new favorite tradition.

One Bowl, Hours in the Making

Everything starts with the broth. We let bones, aromatics, and seasoning mingle over a low flame until the soup turns deep, glossy, and full-bodied. Into it go our chewy wheat noodles and your pick of pork slices, karaage chicken, or seafood, finished with corn, mushrooms, fresh scallions, and a marinated soft-yolk egg. Spice it up with our jigoku fire broth or keep it mellow with classic shio and shoyu — either way, every bowl is built to warm you from the first slurp to the last drop. This is the taste of patience, and we would not serve it any other way.

They Love

Our Ramen

Some of the best ramen I’ve had is from here. The pork tonkatsu is always super tender and the broth is filled with flavor. The only downside is it’s always really warm inside, and the chairs are extremely uncomfortable, so maybe order as take out.

Yokai Ramen absolutely blew me away! The ramen was beyond incredible, the broth had a perfect kick while still being rich and full of flavor. The pork was cooked to absolute perfection, and the Katsu chicken was beautifully crisped with every bite. I finished the meal with a couple of teas to go, and they were incredibly refreshing, the perfect way to wrap up one of the best ramen experiences I’ve ever had in San Antonio. Truly an unforgettable spot!

I’ve been going here lately with my mom and every time I come the food is absolutely amazing. I always get the tonkatsu pork ramen and same as my mom and it just hits the spot every time. This place is so cozy and authentic. This is the second time I get the takoyaki(My favorite Japanese food) and it was very delicious as always. I highly recommend this restaurant to people who want to eat ramen or other Japanese dishes. As you can see I finished my takoyaki and my mom was too full to finish more of her ramen. Always coming back to this place.
